HOMESTEAD - THE ALOHA ARMY

The advantage of summer and our Ward Warehouse location is having Ala Moana Beach Park and Kewalo Basin Harbor across the street where you can throw buckets or get skatey. Here’s a few photos with the boys holding it down at Big Rights.

DEADLY DRAGON SOUND

Formed in 1995 Deadly Dragon Soundsystem has been a respected force in the reggae community as selectors and collectors of reggae music from the foundation of Ska all the way up to the newest riddims bubbling up from yard. With a collection spanning more than 150,000 pieces of vinyl and acetate (7″, 10″, 12″, Dubplate and LP) Deadly Dragon Soundsystem has the vaults to provide the finest reggae music ever made.

Deadly Dragon Sound System was formed in 1995 in Chicago. Initially, Deadly Dragon was started as a way to share an appreciation of Jamaican music with a local audience who, at that time, had no outlets to hear DJ music of any kind. Within a few months, Deadly Dragon’s Sunday night Empty Bottle had become a legend. Within Chicago’s often segregated environment, Deadly Dragon managed to unite all the tribes under the banner of hardcore reggae music.

In 1998 Deadly Dragon Soundsystem expanded into New York City and quickly became a mainstay in the city’s hot bed of sound systems and selectors.

In 2005, Jeremy Freeman aka Scratch Famous and Jason DeBeck aka Selector JD opened the retail side of Deadly Dragon, expanding it into, not just a sound-system, but one of the finest resources for reggae fanatics around. The Retail Store at 102 Forsyth, in the heart pf NY’s Chinatown, is a unique retail environment with a comprehensive selection of new and vintage vinyl from Mento 78s to the newest tunes from Jamaica.

Whether selecting at their weekly spots, clashing, lighting up a bashment or throwing down mix tapes, Deadly Dragon Sound gets DEEP, illuminating all genres of reggae music from the foundation to the newest riddims bubbling up from Yard.

Our second collabrative works with DDS. Shipping now to your in4mation retailer.

Stay chuned as Deadly Dragon Sound and In4mation will be bringing you a special request party soon in New York City.
